THE FUTURE FACULTY WORKSHOP IS SUSPENDED FOR THE 2013-2014 ACADEMIC YEAR
Access resources from previous workshops HERE
This workshop provides a unique opportunity for prospective faculty to learn from faculty leaders across science, engineering, and psychology. The informal format allows participants and faculty to interact, relax, build relationships, and learn from each other. In addition to learning invaluable skills and perspectives, workshop participants spend a day with individual departments as they are hosted by faculty at Rice University.
Those selected to participate in the workshop will have their travel, hotel stay (two per room) and meals during the workshop covered.
Part of the application process is the option to be included in the Future Faculty Database. This database is a way for underrepresented PhD students and postdocs to have their application information accessible not only to Rice University departments, but to other institutions nationally and internationally who have active faculty searches. Information about the database has been sent to over 700 faculty in schools of natural sciences, engineering, and psychology. If you are applying for the workshop and wish to be included in the database, check the appropriate answer in the application.
* Underrepresented in Science, Engineering and Psychology includes all Women, African Americans, Hispanics, Native Americans, Alaskan Natives and US born Pacific Islanders
